This “field find” came out of Arkansas and is a very rare unit. The van itself is a 1976 Dodge B200 with the 5.2L 318CI V8 3sp automatic, 38,000 miles on the odometer. It has Crank Windows, power steering and power brakes. It has a heater with defrost, no AC, and no Cruise. It does have a new aftermarket radio and speakers with aux and bluetooth capabilities.

The camper van has had a full interior renovation including all new carpet, curtains (with peace sign buttons) , upholstery (minus the cool original cushions) , custom wood on the walls and burnt wood in the kitchen area. All new LED lighting, with AMG Deep cell battery, power converter, and charge point with a digital volt gauge.
There is a 110V/12V RV Refrigerator, Hand pump sink with fresh water tank, and a new Porta Potty. It is more of a weekender, there is no propane stove, (wanna cook, bring a Grill) water heater, or shower.

The very versatile back has 3 different seating/sleeping positions. The dinette position will seat 4 for Dinner. The “Soccer Mom MiniVan position” has seating for 3 across, and the sleeping position will fit a double bed air mattress. That same mattress also fits up in the pop top for sleeping for two.

Speaking of the dinette, the table is custom made with CNC Machine Cutout Compass, then filled with dyed epoxy, sanded down stained and polyurethane finish. It looks awesome! The counter top matches as well.
The Pop Top works great, the canvas is in excellent condition, all of the zippers work and there are new screens on the side. There is also a new portable awning included that attaches to the passenger side of the pop top for added shade when camping.

Mechanical: Tons of work has been done including new brakes all the way around, 4 new white letter tires on the polished aluminum slots. Fully rebuilt rear end, with new U joints in the driveshaft. It has a nice dual exhaust system with cherry bombs that is in great shape and has a nice low rumble, so we left that alone. The engine runs great, rebuilt carb, new tune up including HP wires, Accell Coil, plugs filters, oil changes, cap, rotor etc. It also has a new radiator, hoses, belts, valve cover gaskets, alternator, water pump, thermostat, starter and batteries, and a new horn. It starts a little hard when cold but warms up a little and it runs awesome. The spare tire and alloy rim is period correct but more for show as the tire is very old. We do have a steel rim for a spare as well. Also underneath it has 4 new shocks with overload springs so it has a very nice ride to it.
The Body: When we got this thing we decided that it should not be repainted. It had to be kept as original as possible with the patina, faded paint, rust spots and dings that all show a true Vanner Life Survivor. So we had it professionally buffed out and “paint corrected” to bring out the shine but not lose any of the patina. It turned out beautiful. The only rust problem is the bottom of the passenger rear side door. There are a couple holes on the inside and the very bottom. The rest is incredibly solid! Underneath is solid as well with no rust issues. There are also all new door and window seals all the way around.

This van comes from the amazing shop run by Darrin and his team at D & L Auto Sales in Wayland, MI. I bought the van at auction and my parents drove it to me with no issues. Like I said, my wife and I are trying for a baby and we would like to save for a down payment on a home.
