Meet Edgar! Comfortable, untrackable, livable campervan!!
Super original 1984 Volkswagen Country Homes Camper with only 103k original miles in a mixture of Merian Brown, Timor Beige with a 1.9 Litre engine mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Runs, drives very well. Does not eat water or leak oil. No smoke or hesitation. Starts easily when cold or hot, cruises 55-65MPH well.
Has a hitch so you can haul your bikes!
Exterior is completely original, including the paint in excellent condition. Rubbers have been replaced recently, including the chrome trim, bug nets for the sliding windows. All original glass, including the windshield! No rust.
Super original interior in very nice shape. The front seats have arm rests, the radio has Bluetooth connectivity and there are cup holders for both front occupants. Has the dealer installed BEHR air-conditioning unit!
Sleep 2 on the bottom floor and 2 on top. Triple back seat lays down, and an extra piece lays down to extend the bottom / top bed. Sliding windows open, while keeping the bugs out. The top section has 3 nice zippers.
The Country Homes Camper top goes straight up, as opposed to on an angle like a Westy. There is actually more room this way, and once all the zippers are down there’s a nice breeze. The bus itself is sealed very well. Vinyl / leatherette as opposed to cloth on a Westy and courtesy lights for both bunks. Perfect for camping.
Front doors, sliding door, hatch, ignition all work from 1 key. Carpet in very good condition underneath the water-proof vinyl matts.

Most of the Vanagons in the U.S have 150,000-300,000 miles on them and have had the motor rebuilt. Unfortunately, the reproduction parts are not as good as the original. Therefore, an original car like this with just over 100,000 miles which immediately needs nothing and is in near perfectly preserved original condition would fit into the top 10-20% condition.
