Islander Goldstream II – 76,840 kilometers on the odometer.

I picked this up in 2016 in Sacramento. It had been imported years back by its original owner from Vancouver so everything is in KM and it has some cool stickers on it from the import. It spent most of its life in California where I lived for a while but I recently shipped it back to the east coast where I grew up and where it currently resides in Massachusetts. It has spent recent winters in heated storage and has not seen one road with salt ever in its life.

I’m 5’10” and there is ceiling height to spare. You don’t see many high tops like these! The van has A LOT of upgrades and replaced systems and all kinds of love over the years. I have about $18k in receipts for service and upgrades for this van which I can pass to a future owner.

THE GOOD:
-Twin bed @ Dinette
-Full bed @ Penthouse – slide out with heavy duty drawer slides and ladder to triangulate.
-Both beds have all custom 4″ latex memory foam mattresses/cushions (3″ firm on bottom and 1″ soft on top)
-Lots of driveline/mechanical work! When I bought this it needed everything – I did brakes, belts, radiator, suspension components, and much much more. Have receipts.
-New dometic 3 way fridge
-New dometic porcelain toilet (best available)
-“Wet bath” style bathroom – shower works
-5 gallon hot water heater
-Propane furnace
-2x 100w Renology solar panels going to a charge controller, three deep cycle marine batteries, and a 1000w pure sine inverter with on/off remote switch.
-Wifi Booster & Cell Booster antennas on roof
-2x Fantastic fans installed
-Wood floor installed
-Fresh/grey/black tanks all in working order
-Full Oven & 4 burner stove
-Propane line replacement
-Just recently passed MA inspection
-EVERYTHING WORKS!!! I mean everything! She’s not perfect but all systems have been repaired and work!

THE BAD:
-A couple small rust spots where the fiberglass wide body meets the metal body. This was a California car and has stayed in heated winter storage since it has been on the east coast last 3 years. NEVER seen a salty road – the van gets put away in October and comes back out in April since it has been on the east coast.
-The solar batteries are probably needing to be replaced. This is about $200 but I was going to replace with golf cart or lithium batteries this go around so these would need to be looked at.
-The wifi booster and cell booster need to be looked at. Wifi ranger antenna was damaged – not sure about function but can include the parts I have for both systems.
-When it starts, it cranks for what seems to be a long time but always starts 100% of the time – just needs to crank much longer than you would expect. Keep cranking and she will always start!!
-The propane tank is likely due for replacement. The system/tank looks original and likely is time however it works perfectly and I’ve never had issues with it.
-Recently I noticed the driver’s side window (over the dinette) has a spiderweb crack in it
-Both driver and passenger window motors/regulators need replacement – they work but need you to “push” with your hand to get it up or down. I had it quoted around $275 for both but never got around to it.

I’m only thinking about selling since it’s not being used as much as it used to and it belongs on the road! I have a Dropbox with videos if anyone is interested – no lowballs as I’m in no rush to get rid of it. Hoping to find the right home!
