Hobbit House DIY Camper Van
2000 Ford Econoline E-350 8 cylinder 5.4 l. This thing will go forever if properly taken care of. Runs fantastic. New starter, flywheel, transmission mount, and rear latch cable. Replaced headlights with LED. Nearly new Goodyear Wrangler tires. I added ladder which is attached to the body for extra sturdiness. I am the second owner. The first owner who did the build is not a professional but did a really good, solid job. Plug in for 30 amp service (cord included). Or has 2 batteries, 2000 watt inverter, battery charger, and surge suppressor. Can also charge as you travel. Full disclosure: the electrical would need to be upgraded for frequent off-grid use. Has refrigerator, lights, air conditioner, microwave, which can all run off of the batteries for several hours. Really comfy queen mattress. Storage. Attached pull-out awning and rack with Yakima cargo on top. Hitch. Tinted windows. Body in good shape–some dings but nothing you can notice at first glance. Some rust on roof. Right now, cab is blocked-off from interior but you can reconfigure the way you want with little effort and materials. Looks like a 1-inch foam and thin wood wall is the divider. Interior was insulated. Cannot stand inside. No plumbing or water but includes camping potty. Great van to use for camping setup outside and sleep inside. Or a mobile guest bedroom in your driveway. You can use as-is or add solar and more for fully off-grid. Very few this nice are available at this price point and I know this because I looked for a year before I purchased it. Must see to really appreciate how solid and cozy it is. Will include cargo rack and bike rack to use with the hitch. Will include a clam gazebo (and some goodies) with full-price offer (value = $450). Selling because my Mom moved in with me, we are moving to a new house, and I will likely no longer be able to camp because Mom is not a fan. I promise you will not be disappointed in this Ford Econoline van. It is a workhorse. Some have been known to go to 500,000 miles. The interior is super cool. You would have the only one like it. The price point is rarely seen–either something is crappy and cheap or nice and expensive. I hate to part with it actually. But it deserves a good home with folks who can take it on an adventure or two! No pets were in it. No smoking was done in it.
