We had this up for sale last spring, but decided to keep it for summer adventures. The new price is now $33,500, which based on comparative vans, seems like a good price. I’m motivated to sell, so if I’m off on the value, make an offer.
As we near empty-nest status we are looking to downsize to a truck with a pop-up camper. Would consider trades for a Tacoma (possibly F150) with a Pop top camper (Overlndr, Tune, possibly GFC, ect).
It’s been a reliable, capable and awesome adventure-van for the three years we’ve owned it. The Agile 4×4 conversion drives wonderfully. It’s a badass van and I’m sad to see it go.
Details:
• 2001 e250 extended body. 5.4L V8 w/ 200,700 miles. Drives great. I just returned from a 500 mile trip that included dirt roads, mountain passes as well highways at 65mph. No issues.
• Agile Off Road 4×4 conversion. 08/2013. Push button electric switch between Hi and Low range, locking Warn hubs, limited slip rear differential, Fox 2.0 front/rear shocks, etc.
• Walk-Thru Design w/ Gaucho. Sleeps 4 (snugly), seatbelts for 6 (four across Gaucho!). We’ve fit lots of bikes in the back of the van when necessary.
• Regular oil changes performed @ 3,000-4,000 mile intervals since I owned it.
• Roof Re-sealed, new gasket and gel-coated and epoxied 3/24. We drove-through a significant rain-storm and then camped in the pouring rain last weekend and we stayed totally dry.
• All propane lines and fittings just replaced last week. Propane tank mounted underneath van powers the furnace, indoor stove and fitting for outdoor stove.
• Fridge Replaced 5/22.
• 5 new BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires installed @190,000 miles (2023); (all 4 plus spare)
• Other Maintenance: New brake rotors, calipers, pads @200,000 miles (last month)Transfer case re-sealed 5/21 at 180,000 miles. Radiator replaced @ 136,232 miles;; new ball joints, repacked wheel bearings, replaced a defective shock, and alignment done @166,200 miles (2018); new front ABS sensors, bearings, brake rotors, calipers and pads and alignment done @176,614 (2021); Transmission, power steering, and coolant fluids replaced along with starting battery and plugs/wires 11/2020
• Solar with 2 house batteries.
• Sink w/ water tanks in cabinet (super easy to winterize)
• Viper alarm system with keyless entry
• StarCool System (works)
• Both Front seats swivel (though driver-side goes just past 90 degrees)
• Onan Generator (does not currently work, though it’ll turn-over)
• Kenwood touchscreen HD stereo receiver with Bluetooth/Apple Carplay/Android Auto/Sirius XM/Spotify/Pandora
• Back Up Camera (though it goes on/off intermittingly)
• Power windows/mirrors/door locks (kinda weird)
• Shore Power Connection
• Fiamma Awning
• 6 gal (I think?) Gray water tank
• Door Talon
• Cruise control
• Locking gas cap
• Rear Class IV hitch receiver with brake controller
• Full size matching spare mounted on Aluminess driver’s side rear swing arm carrier
• Aluminess Ladder
• Thule tracks/towers/crossbars on roof with Yakima cargo box
This van has so many bells and whistles and cool options. It’s been super reliable with a capable 4×4, it’s definitely a great van for someone. But, she’s no garage-queen. Lots of little dings and dents. Some other little weird nuisances typical for a 22year old adventure van.
Van is located in Durango CO, though I could meet pretty much anywhere in CO or the 4-corners states.
Price is $36,500 obo.
