We are so sad to have to say goodbye to our amazing Skoolie. We have lovingly named him Duke and are looking for a good home for him with new owners that want an amazing Skoolie / motorhome to make their own memories in. This was a labor of love by its previous owner, who was responsible for the incredibly well thought out conversion. We put our own touch on it with some customizations and added every accessory we could think of but haven’t even had a chance to use it as we had intended to do. It was owned by one owner as a traditional school bus and one owner as a Skoolie when we purchased it. We have looked at many Skoolies listed for sale … ones like this don’t come along often. The details of this one-of-a-kind Skoolie are below.
MECHANICS:
– This is a 2001 Chevy Bluebird CAT 3126 Turbo Diesel with an Allison automatic transmission.
– Current mileage is just over 201,500 Miles.
– It has three brand new engine batteries (at the time of battery purchase – Mid May ‘25 – the alternator was tested and deemed in good condition).
– There are brand new LED reverse lights.
– The headlights are LED.
– The bus recently had new brakes, drums, chambers, shocks and tires (less than 10,000 miles on each) and was inspected, and serviced in April ‘25.
– It was freshly painted with high end commercial truck paint in April ‘25.
MECHANICAL ACCESSORIES:
– Comes with a brand new full 15 pound propane tank.
– Has a newly installed Draw-Tite Class 5 Ultra Frame trailer hitch with a 15,000 pound towing capacity with a 2 inch receiver.
– There is a newly installed 7 pin / 4 pin Dual Trailer Connector, with all wiring newly laid in May ‘25.
– At the time of the Skoolie bulld, there was a lockable steel compartment added for storing the generator, 5 gallon gas can, etc…
– There is a back up camera installed with the monitor 12V powered on a tablet at the dashboard.
– There is a hose for fresh water usage and a drainage hose for grey water.
– There is a power cord with two different adapters.
– There is a storage compartment in the bedroom to easily access the water pump and the inverter.
BUS TO SKOOLIE CONVERSION:
– School bus action lights have been disabled, however, all other exterior accent lights have been kept and are operable.
– Prior to the skoolie build, the entire bus floor was sealed, coated and painted and has a vapor barrier.
– The bus was fully spray foam insulated.
– The entire bathroom has been waterproofed.
– There is a 100 gallon fresh water tank and a 100 gallon grey water tank.
– The hot water heater is propane on demand.
– The kitchen comes equipped with a two burner propane stove and a top-of-the-line Iceco Fridge/Freezer combo.
– Kitchen drawers all have the soft close feature.
– The beautiful kitchen sink is paired with a modern faucet, which has one handle controlling both temperatures, an adjustable faucet head and two settings (pour and spray).
– The attractive white countertop is durable and easy to keep clean.
– It has a Ramsond 12,000 btu remote controlled Mini Split for heating and air conditioning.
– Solar and battery system consists of (1) four 100 watt panels (solar panels are modular and can be added to easily – hasn’t ever been needed), (2) a Renogy 60A charger, (3) a 2,000 watt inverter with phone app controlled capabilities, (4) a 40 amp Rover, and (5) two 100ah Lithium batteries.
– There is a full shore power hookup as well as a generator and solar for off grid capabilities as needed.
– There are two state-of-the-art remote controlled ceiling fans, one each in the kitchen / living area and bedroom with various settings and rain sensors, allowing air flow and the ability to maximize efficiency while keeping comfort a priority.
– There’s a Lull 8” Memory Foam Mattress on a bed that opens to storage, fresh water tank view and back door / emergency exit.
– The gorgeous walls have been made of tongue and groove cedar.
– All windows were resealed and are framed in, providing window sills.
– The beautifully quaint ceiling is planked and was freshly painted in April of ‘25.
– There is a built in lighted wardrobe closet with a supported tension rod for hanging clothes and shelves for other clothes and/or storage with a magnetic double door closure. The interior closet light is on its own switch (not dimmable).
– There is an upgraded adjustable Air Ride driver’s seat, adding comfort for the driver.
– The recessed LED lighting throughout all have dimmer switches.
– The entry / kitchen / living area lights are dual controlled with one switch at the entry (front of Skoolie) and the other in the bedroom (rear of Skoolie).
– There is one roof hatch, which is in the hallway.
– Window tinting has been done in bedroom, under bed and on driver’s side front window.
– The bathroom light is on its own switch (not dimmable).
– The bathroom door has a magnetic door closure.
– Both the bathroom door and the wardrobe doors were built with stylish linen panels.
– There are numerous electrical outlets throughout offering plenty of electrical accessibility.
– Complete under bed storage is fully accessible through rear door, which has a pin lock.
– The front of bus, overhead area has a built in storage / display area in the center.
– A heavy duty lock was added to the entry door as well as a handle for easily pulling door closed.
SKOOLIE ACCESSORIES:
– A stainless fan has been installed for the driver’s added comfort.
– A tv (has original remote) has been wall mounted in bedroom corner but also has a release cord and feet in place for use on kitchen counter, if desired.
– There is a washable rug (from Ruggable) in the living room / kitchen area that is laid on top of a washable velcro floor mat for comfort. The mat is secured with adhesive floor tape to keep it securely in place. They were both cut down to custom fit the space.
– Kitchen drawers are equipped with child locks and velcro for safety during travel and there is a brand new wooden silverware organizer.
– A full length metal framed mirror has been wall mounted in the hall between the bathroom and bedroom.
– There is a beautiful natural wood and rattan cabinet in kitchen / living area, which has been secured to the wall with magnetic door closures and drawer stops for safety during travel.
– There is an additional storage cabinet, featuring see through doors situated nicely behind wood and rattan cabinet for lots of additional storage, also having magnetic closures for safety during travel.
– Floating shelves have been installed above kitchen counter and sofa.
– Wall mounted metal baskets have been installed in the bedroom for extra storage.
– The kitchen drawers are deep as well as high offering ample storage.
– There is a newly hung paper towel dispenser in the kitchen, keeping them tucked back and out of the way.
– There is a sleek trash can with automatic lid snuggly fit between the driver’s seat and kitchen cabinet.
– There is a three-tiered shoe rack at entry.
– Additional hooks have been hung throughout, including two hand painted heavy duty wooden and metal hooks in hall, handy hooks for driver, magnetic hooks for dashboard / entry, and ball cap hooks in the bedroom.
– Since the entire bathroom has been waterproofed, there’s no need to section off the shower, but as an additional option, the bathroom has a brand new shower curtain with hooks and magnets. There is also a newly hung paper plush bath mat.
– There is also an easy-dry outdoor shower that sets up / tears down in minutes and comes with a storage / carrying case.
– The bathroom is equipped with wall mounted bathing product dispensers (6 total), a toothpaste dispenser / UV toothbrush sanitation unit, three towel hooks, and a mounted toilet paper holder.
– There is a “like new” Nature’s Head Composting Toilet. Comes with 50 liters of coconut coir, broken down into 6 rubber sealed storage containers, each with its own scoop and all in an air tight/water sealed storage container for ease of use and storage.
– There is a 71” reclinable futon sofa bed with 2 1/2” memory foam and adjustable arm rests, this furniture piece being both stylish and comfortable.
– There are three battery operated remote controlled accent lights with timer, brightness and light type settings, on the shelves in the kitchen / living room area.
– There is a portable height adjustable stool for outside entry door, with folding legs for easy storage and transport.
– There is metal stripping on the shelves and window sills in the kitchen and adhesive magnets that can be added to personal belongings to keep them on the shelves during travel.

– The bedroom has custom made lined black out curtains hung by a stylish tension rod.
– Heavy duty velcro has been installed for wall mounting of both fan remotes and the heating / cooling system.
– There are two large foldable tables that work nicely for dining, working, games, etc… and tuck nicely behind the sofa.
– A foam header was added to the trim above the doorway for safety.
