Our much loved fully off grid camper van with 198k miles and a brand new 5 cylinder diesel engine, brakes and turbo. This is a Converted 05 T1N Sprinter van. (Mercedes made, dodge built).
We lived full time in the van 18 months and just travelled to 21 national parks on a 5 month road-trip this past summer. Unfortunately having to sell due to moving to New Zealand. Roughly getting 20+mpg depending on weight on board. Plenty of power and wheel clearance that can handle rough terrain compared to normal rear wheel drive vans.
