2006 Roadtrek 170 Popular camper van. Chevy Express 2500 base.
Well-loved and in great condition. 111k miles. Spent its life (except for trips, of course) in California until relocating to MA 2 years ago.
This is a fantastic camper for one or two people. We’ve traveled the country and made lots of memories. Our family has grown in size and we don’t fit anymore (our loss, your gain!). Otherwise, we’d never sell it.
Note: bed doesn’t really fit someone taller than 5’8″-ish directly across. Slightly taller can fit at diagonal. My wife and I are 5’10” and 5’8″ and we fit fine. We’ve spent weeks at a time in the van.
Open to reasonable offers! Message with any questions.
Please don’t just ask if it is still available. I won’t respond. If the listing is up I promise it’s available.
It’s in great condition, but keep in mind it’s a nearly 20 year old, well-loved camper. It has lots of life left and is ready to take new adventures.
Exterior paint is peeling in some places. It’s an issue with this generation of GM vehicle. The rear doors were repainted a few years ago. Other spots have been touched up over the years. The primer isn’t coming off so nothing is rusting, it’s just the white paint.
Everything still works and is in good condition, including:
– 3-way fridge (control board recently replaced). Yes, it cools well on propane and 120v. 12v works mediocre (the way it always did), which is to say fine for a travel day.
– generator
– toilet / shower
– macerator black/grey tank pump
– Air Conditioner / Heat Pump
– propane heater
– stove
– sink
– screens for rear door(s), side door, and screen covers for driver and passenger windows
It has a crank up TV antenna. We never used it.
Things added:
– battery monitor (Victron SmartShunt)
– cell signal booster (requires manual antenna deploy)
– USB chargers
– Foam mattress pad. We rarely converted the bed to a table.
– Insulation covers for all windows
– Upgraded stereo, includes Apple Car Play (I think it supports the Android equivalent too?)
– Wooden cover for spare tire to create a table when folded down
– Propane fire pit (connects to quick connect hose in rear of camper. We never used it, added by previous owners)
Changes made:
– Removed 120v TV and DVD player. Put an iPad mount in place. We have the TV and DVD player, will include upon request.
– All interior lights are LED
– Removed Microwave, made it storage space. (we have the microwave, will include, can put back if buyer requests)
– replaced the water pump with a quieter one
Maintenance needed:
– deep cycle house battery is dying. It’s nearly 4 years old and well-used.
