Fleet maintained, originally a FedEx delivery truck. A Mercedes T1N diesel engine runs great, 269k miles. These engines are known for being MILLION mile engines. Back up camera. This van is perfect for weekend getaways, road trips, or if you're interested in starting a van life adventure.
The previous owner of this van made some DIWhy decisions. The exterior of the van has been "Rhino Lined", but the clown didn't do their research and did not scratch off the top coat before applying. So the Rhino Liner paint is peeling in multiple locations. (I will add more pictures of this shortly).
I have been smoothing out some blemishes and caulking roof seams with Bondo and marine grade caulk. There are two areas on the walls where you can see leaks were a thing at one point. The leaks have been fixed.
The engine runs wonderfully. I had the misfortune of blowing the turbo 700 miles ago. So, the turbo has been replaced, which typically they last over 250,000 miles.
I have replaced the electric starter switch.
I am currently replacing the glow plugs.
A recommendation I would make if you are the future purchaser of this wonderful adventure machine, is to get an engine block heater. For a TN1 they are on average $120-$150 bucks. (Third Party of course)
For anyone not familiar with diesel engines, they are notoriously difficult to start at anything below freezing temperatures. An engine block heater alleviates this problem by warming up your engine block prior to turning over the engine.
I will continue to update this listing with more pictures and details as they come to mind. I will add a video as well.
I am in the mindset of being as transparent as possible. I want the buyer to love this van just as much as I do.
Why am I selling? I lived out of this van for a while. It was awesome!! But, now I have a house in the city……. Without a driveway. So, it's no longer conducive to my lifestyle to hold on to.
I hope you have just as much fun and adventure as I did.
I am open to offers. OBO
