A lot of work has gone into this van and it still has a little ways to go. The reason I have to let her go is we’ve expanded and need a daily driver, not a camper unfortunately. I also just don’t have the time anymore to put into it to finish the build and I’m looking for someone who does!
I’ve done all the work from the suspension to the plugs and coils. Exhaust and front wheel bearings were professionally done. New front catalytic converter, manifold, and O2 sensors all the way around. Tires on the front have about 20,000 miles, rears have about 30,000 miles – both sets are ContiContact Pros. The van has around 173k miles.
Electric consists of a 100w solar panel, 12v cable to the car’s electrical system (for charging without sunlight), Goal Zero Yeti 400 and a linked matching battery in tandem to double the effective capacity to 66ah (small overall, but it fits the size and purpose of the vehicle. A 2.5kw diesel heater is installed behind the drivers seat and a diesel tank is mounted on the inside passenger side slider. There are puck lights throughout the ceiling (which is tongue and groove with multiple coats of exterior UV protective lacquer).
The bed installed is roughly 19in wide and pulls out on 500lb drawer slides for an additional 14in (total size falls just short of a twin). Underneath are 3 separate storage cavities which were supposed to get a combination of drawers and cabinet doors – same goes for the counter.
