Sprinter van upgrades
Stereo includes a Pioneer deck with two Focal speakers in the front and 4 kicker speakers in the back and an 8” JBL sub. There are three amps that power this system. Total cost from Car toys =$7000
The lighting and battery system was installed by AV tech in Golden. This system includes a traffic advisor, lights on either side as well as the rear and a 50” light bar in the front with white and amber lights. There are flashers built in to the front headlights and rear lights. There are 5 auxillary batteries that are seperated by the primary by an isolator. The batteries are charged by the alternator as well as two solar panels on the roof. Those panels can be raised to accommodate the sun for best performance. All of these lights are controlled by a center console. All 6 batteries have been replaced in the last two years, four of which were replaced in the last 3 months.
There is a 25 gallon water system that provides water via a pressure regulated water pump. This system runs a showerhead that connects to the rear door. No hot water. I usually camp in the summer and enjoy cooling off.
The roof rack is custom built out of steel and powder coated. This rack holds the two solar panels as well as all of the lights. There is an attachment system on the rack that can hold a Yakima spacecase and can also be raised out of the way for camping on the roof or just hanging out watching the stars.
There is a steel ladder on the rear left door.
I installed a Van compass Stage 6 lift kit with Fox reservoir shocks and a 2” lift to the front and rear. This kit includes an add a leaf spring to the rear and an additional shock in the front. I also added sumo springs to the front and rear to stiffen up the suspension
I added Black Rhino (York) wheels and alll terrain tires to the van for the final look. The lift allows me to place 315s with no tire rub. New tires were installed within the last month.
The AC electrical system is powered by a Thor 5000watt (10,000watt peak) inverter.
A Dewalt air compressor is built in on board and tucked out of the way.
The entire rear axel of the van was replaced by Mercedes at 145k miles as there was a warranty issue with the gearing.
The rear seats are easily removed by four bolts. The tracks they bolt to are bolted to the frame.
Please keep in mind that I built this rig for work. It doubled as an awesome camper van for climbing trips.
I am not in a hurry to sell. Van can be picked up in Denver. A cashiers check and transfer as is will be acceptable. Please do not ask me to finance the van for you. I am also happy to offer all maintenance records from my master mechanic. Low ball offers will be ignored, serious offers will be considered.
