This camper van is ready for a summer, fall, and winter of adventures. The solar panels power cabin lights, propane gas stove, electric water pump, and diesel heater that’s connected directly to fuel tank. Cabin AC and fan/vent are connected directly to van battery. Simple platform bed creates storage space below for “garage” that can carry 2 bikes, a stand up paddle board, climbing gear, and anything else you might dream of taking with you on your next vacation. Brand spankin’ new tires (Firestone Destination S/T) will help you roll over any terrain. Toss more bikes on the back, carry a motorcycle, or tow a small trailer with the 2” hitch. With only 80k miles it’s waiting for you to add the extra 620k this van is good for.
Also included:
*a brand new WeBoost cell booster, RV model. I haven’t installed it yet as I bought it right before deciding to sell the van, but can be included if you want it. I’ve used a WeBoost on a different van and it really helped in those low coverage areas.
*an on-demand water heater that had been previously installed but I removed when making some storage upgrades.
There are some water stains above passenger seat from previous leak but I’ve never seen it dripping so previous owner likely fixed it.
This van has climbed up some seriously steep double track to get to the perfect camp site, and when too many downed trees caused a turnaround, we were able to back up over mud, rocks, and snow with grace until a tight 3-point turn could be maneuvered. With these new tires and good driving skills you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go.
Vehicle itself is very reliable, powerful, and runs well, no rust. The Blue Efficiency model makes it surprisingly, well, efficient. Typically a drive down to New Mexico via highway or biway takes 2 fill-ups, making it a way cheaper and more enjoyable way to get some sun in the winter. Just had new tires installed this week as well as oil change, alignment and brake check, and general look-over. Professionals agree: she’s a beaut. And deserves to be parked on a butte watching the sunset rather than by my house watching the traffic.
The cabin build is DIY, making it a bit funkier than a professional setup that means:
a) It’s way cheaper than some of the 6-digit models on the market
b) It’s easier to work on, build on, or take apart to make your own
c) You get street cred for the rustic charm
On the outside, there’s a small crack in the windshield that’s been there as long as I’ve owned the van and has never changed, and there’s a cosmetic dent in the top rear right corner and very mild wear/tear typical of a vehicle riding on the sorts of roads I just told you this van has enjoyed.
I love this van but just don’t go camping as much as I used to. I re-examine my life choices that cause me to make that statement but in the meantime, I’m going to settle for a more reasonable daily driver and offer this van to someone who better deserves it. Maybe your life is ready to pick up where mine left off and you can give SheVanigans the life she deserves. Come out to Montana, pick up this van, and fall in love with it like I did on your drive home — wherever you decide to park it.
