Please allow me to introduce you to “Rich Rolls” my 2018 ram 2500 promaster campervan 159” wheelbase.
I have owned the van for 3 years. After converting it myself I spent a year living in it and it was pretty amazing. I have decided that I want to start establishing some roots and it is time for Rich to become somebody else’s home on wheels 🙂 he is turn key ready, everything you need for full time living or a weekend warrior!
I did a TON of stealth camping in the van, never had the knock!
Yokohama Geolander A/T with lots of tread!
The van has 6’3” clearance inside so lots of headroom! The build is 95% out of a high quality birch plywood, maple butcher block countertops and all wood is sealed with food grade mineral oil.
A simple water system with usb rechargeable pump. I have a large water tank and water pump wired but never got around to the plumbing! Gray water jug has been misplaced at time of photos.
The walls and ceiling are insulated with 1” rigid foam board insulation. The floor with a cork underlay and plywood subfloor.
Lots of Storage! Huge garage underneath a full size bed. Bikes without the front wheel easily fit beneath. Hanging closet, storage bench, two deep drawers, overhead open shelf, kitchen lower cabinet.
EcoFlow delta max power system with 200 watt solar panel charging it, can handle up to 400w and plenty of room up top for another panel. The system works great when it’s Sunny 🙂 led lighting, max air 5000 vent fan and a beautiful skylight perfect for stargazing in bed and letting in natural light! Large window in sliding door provides great visibility while driving and allows for amazing views when you are parked.
The van is mechanically sound. It performs well up and over mountain passes and any trail that isn’t too steep! New-ish all terrain tires. Large heavy duty roof rack, eventually had plans to put a deck up there! A few small cosmetic items but overall a very beautiful van! Drives like a car, fits in a regular parking space.
Van life isn’t for the faint of heart, but it is so rewarding. I am so grateful for the places Rich has taken me, the people my travels have allowed me to meet, and helping me find the place I think I will call home for a long time.
Please reach out with any questions! I am currently not driving the van and it’s parked in the driveway waiting to meet it’s new owners 🙂
