This van build was inspired by a van trip across Scandinavia, and is a culmination of my experience as a professional carpenter including tiny houses, cabins and barns. It was very important for this build to have a comfortable cabin Hygge feel to hang out, prepare meals and sleep regardless of the weather. The interior of the van is primarily pine, with custom knotty alder cabinetry with a butcher block counter and table.
I chose the Ram Promaster because it is front wheel drive and snow capability here in Colorado. It turns on a dime and easily fits in standard parking spaces. It has the widest body design and the lowest exterior height van.
Van features:
full size mattress allowing over six feet of sleeping space perpendicular to vehicle
all finishes are non-toxic, the ebonizing of the butcher block is a mild chemical reaction using the tannin in the wood.

kitchen has a two burner propane stove with 11lb propane tank, large sink, 10 gallon water tank, (also supplemental 6 gallon jug) electric water pump, and faucet, and a Dometic CFX3 55 cooler
