Adventure-ready mini van w/ accessories

A reluctant sale of our beloved self-converted stealthy minivan. We’ve had the best year exploring the US in this 2014 Toyota Sienna but unfortunately our full-time jobs back in England beckon. The van is a 2WD 2014 Toyota Sienna with around 142,200 miles at time of posting. It runs smoothly, hasn’t given us any trouble and has been serviced on schedule throughout its life at licensed Toyota service centres (most recent multipoint vehicle inspection is available). Toyotas are known to get 300,000+ miles and 2014 was an especially good year for the Sienna.

This is a perfect vanlife, road tripper, or weekend warrior option for a solo traveler or a couple – we’ve traveled through 25 states over 11 months to 10 national parks and countless other recreation areas in all weather and in comfort! We can give you our best tips and tricks on living part- or full-time minivan life.

Our unique custom build is incredibly solid – made of quality wood and a sturdy pocket hole construction. There is a 3/4 inch plywood subfloor with a thinsulate soundproofing layer topped with an attractive, waterproof vinyl. Within the minivan there is a full bed that converts into an L-shaped or straight couch/single bed. The bed is topped with a firm Ikea mattress covered in rugged indoor/outdoor fabric and is incredibly comfy – we’ve been known to drag it into houses that we’re staying in, we miss it that much. There is storage under the couch with two 14x22x5 inch storage bins plus a third cubby hole that currently holds two sleeping bags and a small storage box.

The living/sleeping area is sectioned from the front of the mini van by a wooden arch with coat hooks and a thermal light blocking curtain to create a cozy den in the back and provide greater privacy/stealth at night. Front windows and windshield have standard reflectix window shades. Back windows have custom made covers with reflectix, thinsulate and a stealthy black cover.

Between the front seats is a BougeRV 30 quart fridge – so much less hassle than a cooler and all that space is usable with no ice to take up space!

In the back is a solidly built cabinet holding a Camp Chef Teton 2X stove/cooking surface on 100lb capacity full extension drawer slides plus an Ignik 10.5lb refillable gas growler and case. There is a drawer for plates, utensils and cookware plus plenty of space for food storage. Also included is a 600W hotpot which is good for boiling water or making simple soup or pasta dishes inside the cabin. The cabinet door is pictured with stickers from our adventures, but we’ll replace it with a new door so you can add your own stickers or enjoy it as-is.

Next to this cabinet is another storage area including a set of boxes that we use for clothes and a flexible space that is currently used for backpacking gear but could, if desired, accommodate water tanks and a sink.

Appliances are powered by an EcoFlow RIVER pro battery, plus an additional battery giving a total of 1440Wh. Included are a set of EcoFlow 220Watt portable solar panels (with a long lead – ideal for parking in the shade while you charge up) plus a fixed 50Watt solar panel affixed to the roof box. This provides charge whilst driving and is capable of keeping the fridge running while we’re out backpacking. We are also including our WeBoost Drive Reach Overland, which boosts cell phone signal. It’s been very effective and has come in handy both for work and regular communication (and finding directions on lonely roads!).

We’ll be sad to see him go but we’re confident that he’ll continue providing a great home and adventure-mobile to the next owner! We can also include lots of little extras e.g. usb rechargable fan and mini-heater. Full list available if you’re interested.
