The van is 2015, but was purchased new and upfitted by Midwest Automotive Designs in early 2016 and I took delivery of it mid March 2016. I’m a disabled veteran and amputee and this van was a dream come true. I wanted to be able to show my kids the beauty of this country and share the experience with them, and no other vehicle could have afforded us the opportunity to travel in style and complete comfort, while not forgetting anything we might need along the way. I loved being able to pick up my entire family, all of their luggage and necessities, and head off to anywhere we wanted to travel to, which happened to include a ton of trips to Walt Disney World! This conversion van has been meticulously maintained by both Mercedes Benz and the upfitter, Midwest Automotive Designs. There’s so much extra room for storage in the van, with all the real wood cabinets and also in the rear of the van- you and your family will be able to ride and relax in style without having to worry about bags and luggage being underfoot. Your family’s belongings won’t end up cluttering up the sitting areas of the van, and this makes for very comfortable and enjoyable journeys. I loved that my kids could pull out a desk and draw, or plug in their iPads or laptops into any of the many 3- pronged outlets and USB outlets located by every seat, and they could work on any extra assignments or homework, all while we traveled to any of our many destinations. The kids and I have often sat, put our feet up, and relaxed as we watched family movies on the large, flat-screen LED TV, using either the externally mounted satellite dish or the Apple TV. I really enjoyed that one of the kids could be relaxing on the rear bench seat that they’d turned into a bed with just a press of a button, and another could be watching tv while wearing one of the many pairs of wireless headphones (so as to not disturb their siblings or myself) and reclining in their own comfortable seat, even putting their feet up (all with the simple press of a button), and my third child could be listening to their own music selection on the rear satellite radio, with their wireless headphones, as they enjoyed reading one of their favorite books, and all of this was possible while I was busy driving my family onto our next adventure. The best part of this amazing setup, is that my family was always so comfortable that I never had to hear, “Are we there yet?” There is always something the family could do whether we were traveling 10 or 10,000 miles! It truly is like having a warm, very stylish, and extremely comfortable home on wheels. If I wasn’t busy relearning how to walk again, I would be keeping the van and traveling with my family.
