2019 Dodge Class B RV
RAM PROMASTER 2500 HIGH TOP
The basics: 2019 RAM Promaster 159”, high roof, gas, 6-cylinder engine, 6-speed automatic front-wheel drive. Bright Silver metallic. Upgrades include a 220-amp alternator and heavy-duty suspension. A California vehicle until we finished the build and started our adventure. Currently 47,000 miles. Came with a 5-year/ 60,000 mile warranty, so ~2 years and 12,000 miles remaining. New tires fitted at 17,900 miles prior to starting our adventure. Clean title. Fully serviced.
Five core design requirements: (1) a platform bed that did not have to be put together each evening and broken down for day use, (2) a garage for 2 eBikes and storage. We wanted the ability to be off the grid which meant (3) lots of solar power, (4) a good water supply, including gray water collection, and (5) a permanent shower and composting toilet.
Designed to support full-time living and working with: an articulated workstation/ dining table, a WeBoost exterior/ interior signal booster, a fully functional kitchen, a bi-direction MaxAir 10-speed fan, a CR Laurence sliding door awning window and an Espar gas-powered heater. Queen-sized ‘short’ mattress, reading lights with USB charger, USB fan and book nook.
