I’m selling my 1995 Mazda Bongo Friendee, 4 wheel drive, turbo diesel, right hand drive, pop-top camper van.
This is the ultimate compact camper van that can navigate easily through city streets and fit into small parking spaces but at the same time can confidently drive through snow and ice covered mountain roads without issue with its full time all wheel drive feature. It has a pop-top that can comfortably sleep 2 people on the lower level, 2 people in the pop-top and can seat 6 when driving.
The camper has a factory fitted kitchen along with a working gas cooker and a sink/shower combination, a leisure battery and a space for a small refrigerator, though there isn’t one there currently. It also has overhead lockers that provide extra storage space.
Mechanically the van is sound with only about 72k miles on it. All of the necessary service work has been done by a Bongo specialist including the following,
New head and head gasket
New camshaft belt
New water pump
New valve cover gasket
New steering rack
New coolant hoses and coolant
New glow plugs
The van also includes a drive away canopy that attaches to the sliding door side of the van when parked. This provides a weather proof pass through for extra space and convenience.
This van also has a tow hitch and can pull a small trailer.
This guy is a lot of fun to drive, gets about 18-22mpg, and can run interchangeably on biodiesel or petroleum diesel. The van is located in Oakridge, Oregon. Asking $17,000 or best offer.
