Sleek and Clean, New Build, New Van still under factory warranty. Clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Air Conditioning! 6′ 7″ of sleeping space head to toe! Top of the line Victron/Battleborn Solar components!
Clean and comfortable was the design thought behind this van conversion. After living in a van for over a year, I realized that Air Conditioning was a MUST HAVE. So, I incorporated that into this van. I also found that the bed was to short for anyone near 6′ tall, so I designed the bed area to maximize the entire width of the van from wall to wall. I am also a big fan of solar and the latest and greatest components available on the market.
I come from a background of construction and home remodeling and used those skills to create the van I call Iceberg! This van is spacious and simple in design. It is not overcluttered like many of the vans are becoming these days. Comfortable, streamlined, no hassle approach to the true comforts of a recreational van. It has just enough features from home to make an 80 sqft living space both functional and comfortable.
The van itself has cruise control and the above dash storage area which is a must have. It also has a tow hitch and driver side arm rest
Here is a list of the build features of Iceberg:
30 Amp Shore Power Outlet
2000 watt Victron Inverter/charger (Inverts and charges your battaries via shore power)
200AH of Lithium lifePO4 Battleborn batteries (The battery storage area is built to expand another 2 batteries allowing easy integration for an additional 200AH bringing your total to 400AH)
Victron 150/60 tr smart solar charger (this larger solar charger would allow for you to add more solar whether it be portable suitcase panels, more on the roof, or even a trailer with panels mounted to it)
Vitctron Orion tr smart 12/12 (supplement battery charging while you drive or use for when overcast is limited solar input) Note: this component is wired and ready to be easily connected to the system, however it could void your factory warranty, so I advise not connecting it until you have exceeded the warranty period/
Victron Lynx distributer (makes the usual mess of a bus bar much cleaner and safer)
Dometic Brisk II Roof Top AC (Runs on generator or shore power)
3m Thinsulate insulation in all walls and ceiling, half inch foam insulation in floor
Raised Roof Deck to Provide much needed shade for the van (This helps tremendously by having no contact with the structure of the van for heat transfer)
400 watts of raised solar panels (by being elevated off the roof deck, air is allowed to pass under neither, making the solar panels more efficient)
Small but usable Roof Deck Space for lounging and storage
Rear mount, no drill ladder for roof access
Luxury vinyl flooring
Maxxair roof vent/fan mounted in front of living area to maximize airflow with open, screened bunk windows in rear of living space (Creates a cross breeze through the van)
12 volt ceiling mounted puck lights with 2 zones of dimmers to create the perfect ambience for any occasion
2 touch to light, 4 setting reading lamps (including a dim red setting) and usb ports built in, mounted above pillow area of bed
6ft of butcher block counter space with 45 degree angle shelf above (perfect for storing spices and cooking ingredients)
Top mounted matte black vessel sink with kitchen faucet/sprayer powered by a foot pump for optimal water conservation accompanied by a 7 gallon water storage tank and 7 gallon grey water tank located under sink. (outlet available under sink if you would like to add a heater and/or pump)
